Ways to resist damage of refractoriesPublished by:2017-2-16 Categories:Recommend News Viewed by: 8979 times Corrosion resistance of refractories. The corrosion resistance of refractory material refers to the reliability and service life of refractory raw materials, products and components in use. The Russian researchers have made a systematic study on the cause of the damage of refractory material and the way to improve it, and illustrated the maximum service life of various industrial kilns by using optimized design of refractory materials. Damage of refractories is divided into 8 basic types: (1) caused by chemical corrosion of refractories and slag, molten metal or other melt, ash, gas and so on (about the whole damage amount of 70%); (2) the temperature fluctuation caused by thermal spalling (about the damage the amount of 20%); (3) multi crystal transformation and loose structure caused by thermal expansion; (4) using the temperature exceeds the melting point or softening caused by refractory degree; (5) 70% 50% temperature reaches the melting temperature of the thermoplastic damage; (6) the machinery made of molten metal erosion damage; (7) refractory material in the gas phase medium or vacuum distillation; (8) by mechanical wear of solid workpiece heating of refractory materials.
